Physiotherapist

Amanda Lucky, MScPT

Born and raised in Ottawa, Amanda is excited to be working close to home. Amanda graduated from McMaster University in the fall of 2016 with a Master’s in Physiotherapy. She also has a Bachelor of Science degree from SUNY Potsdam, a small university in upstate New York, where Amanda played NCAA ice hockey.  She began her physiotherapy career in Haliburton ON, working full-time at the hospital, specifically in the outpatient clinic, and part-time with Kawartha Therapy Services, a homecare company, in the evenings and on the weekends.

Amanda is passionate about her role as a physiotherapist. Her main objectives are to return individuals to their pre-injury functioning level, to prevent future injuries from occurring, and to ultimately improve overall quality of life. These objectives will be achieved through hands on therapy, exercise prescription, modalities, and education. As a result, individuals will be able to perform their tasks more comfortably and independently on a daily basis.

Amanda believes all individuals, conditions and injuries are unique to the person and therefore tailors her treatment programs according to the individuals’ specific needs. She is enthusiastic, energetic, and is determined to make a positive impact on your well-being!

If you are interested in working with Amanda and believe that you could benefit physiotherapy, please do not hesitate to contact our clinic.

Amanda is in good standing with the College of Physiotherapist of Ontario.
