Sofia received her Doctorate of Osteopathy (DO) from the Osteopathy School of Madrid (EOM), Spain in 2006.

​

Over the last 30 years, she has worked in the Public Health System, private and Industrial of Venezuela advising patients in preventive and primary healthcare. She has provide comprehensive physical rehabilitation with Osteopathy, physiotherapy and postural re-education. In Canada, working as Manual Practitioner of Osteopathy, Sofia uses non-invasive strategies and focuses on a comprehensive and holistic approach – where every structure in the body is in constant interaction, interrelated with an important role to play in every function and process.

Sofia’s philosophy is that prevention is the primary goal, along with restoring balance in the body with manual osteopathy. She uses a range of techniques to address cranial, visceral, joint, and osteoarticular systems. Sofia works with patients of all ages and is committed to providing patients with the best possible care.

 

Sofia is an accredited member in good standing of the Canadian Alliance for Alternative Medicine (ACMA) and the International Osteopathic Association.
