Carolyn Smith, B.HK, DOMP

Carolyn Smith began her journey in health care graduating with an Honours Bachelor degree in Human Kinetics from the University of Ottawa. She later went on to graduate from the National Academy of Osteopathy.  During her time at the University of Ottawa, she had the opportunity to work as a student Athletic Therapist with the Varsity men’s basketball team which strengthened her passion for physical therapy.

Carolyn’s therapy style has a gentle, whole-body approach to targeting and treating pain or imbalances within the body. Carolyn is warm and welcoming to her patients and strives to make every session effective, leaving the patient feeling relaxed and comfortable.

Carolyn has experience working with office employees who typically have upper-back and neck pain, patients experiencing headaches, acute and chronic low back pain, issues with digestion, and sciatica to name a few.

Although the body has the ability to heal itself, osteopathy helps facilitate this healing.  Addressing the main cause of the dysfunction will also prevent the problem from reoccurring. Carolyn’s goal is to help her patients enjoy a healthy, pain-free life!

During her spare time, Carolyn embraces the outdoors hiking, running, kayaking, golfing, or playing soccer. She also enjoys yoga and trampoline! Carolyn was a competitive figure skater and gymnast in her earlier years.

Carolyn is a member in good standing with The National Manual Osteopathic Society (NMOS).
